Chapter 2

They had been there for over 2 hours and the party had dwindled down to just Alisha, Curtis, Seth, Kelly and Nathan.

“Should be getting home… See ya wankers!” Nathan yelled before walking out the door.

“ Its so Nathan to leave before we clean-up.” Kelly rolled her eyes

Curtis shook his head. “Prick.”

“Come on Kelz, I’ll help you. You guys get that side of the room and we’ll take the other.” Alisha offered

Once Kelly knew she was out of earshot of the boys, she asked quietly “So what are you gonna do now?”

Alisha gave her a puzzled look. “What do you mean?”

Kelly threw a couple plates into the trashbag.

“I figure you and Simon are gonna be around each other a lot now so wha-“

“What? Why would we be?” Alisha cut her off and eyed her suspiciously

“Well Simon is Seth’s best man and you’re gonna be my maid of honor. So you guys are gonna plan stuff together.”

“Kelly! Why would you NOT tell me this!” Alisha said trying really hard to keep her voice down.

“I’m sorry! You have to talk to him sometime! We’re all friends right?” Kelly smiled innocently

“Yeah, let’s go fucking have brunch!” Alisha snapped

Kelly stopped and stared at her.

“What the fuck is brunch?!”

Their eyes connected and they both busted out laughing.

“I hear a bunch of laughing over there. Are you even cleaning?” Seth said

“Oh Fuck Off!” Kelly replied earning a fake mad face from her fiancé.

“Okay, I’ll try for you.” Alisha gave Kelly a half smile.

After they had finished cleaning, Alisha & Curtis said their goodbye’s and went back to his flat. As soon as Alisha’s head hit the pillow, she was asleep.

“Simon. Do you like this?” Alisha said


“What?” He said as he turned around to face her.


She smiled at him while his eyes got huge.


“What are you wearing?”


She took the wig off and put it on his desk. “It’s the wig for my Halloween costume. Im gonna keep the rest a surprise. So... Did you like it?”


He smiled as he walked over to her. He put his hand on her face with his thumb stroking her cheek. “I love everything on you.” He said before


he leaned inn and connected their lips.


She wrapped her arms around his neck as if it were an automatic reaction. She started pulling his clothes when he stopped her.


“Alisha, wha-what are you doing?”


She smirked and whispered in his ear “Trying to have sex with you…”


“Kiss me.”


He happily obliged.


As soon as he did, clothes started getting removed rather quickly. They moved onto the bed with Simon on top of her. He carefully caressed her skin with his lips. He nibbled softly on her ear before softly whispering “I love you.” Her breathing became very shallow as his lips traveled from her neck down to her breasts then to her stomach until...

Alisha’s eyes shot open. She was breathing heavy. She sat up in the bed.

“Alisha, are you okay? You were making noises in your sleep. Actually it sounded like moaning… Were you dreaming about me?” Curtis
smirked as his hands slid down to her hips.

“Curtis, Stop. I’m really tired okay?”

“Fine.” He grumbled before flipping back over .

Alisha laid back down and tried to figure out why that memory/dream felt so real. Deep down, even though she didn’t want to admit it, she knew the only reason why it felt so real was because she wanted it to be.
However, she ignored that nagging thought in the back of her head and convinced herself it was because she saw him that night and it was bringing up old memories. She closed her eyes and tried desperately to push the memory out of her head so you could get some rest. But all she could think about was his hands on her hips…

His lips on her neck…

Chapter 1

1 Year Later


Simon was outside having a smoke to calm his nerves. He didn’t like going to parties like this especially without having someone to go with. The only reason he was even here was because he wanted to support Kelly, his friend who recently got engaged to her boyfriend, Seth. Kelly had always treated Simon like her little brother and stood up for him when he was younger. He was happy for her. He finished his cigarette and went back inside. He made his way to the far wall of Kelly’s flat and stayed planted on it until Kelly came up to him.

“Simon!”

They hugged and she asked “Why are you standing here alone? Go socialize mate!”

He smiled at her and replied “you know me, quiet weird kid.”

Nathan came up behind him and yelled in his ear “MELONFUCKER!”

Simon jerked away from him while Kelly slaped Nathan upside the head. HARD.

“Shut Up you twat!”

“Ow! What was that for?!”

Simon looked around then asked “What are you doing here? Where’s Marnie?”

“Well the little critter doesn’t like to travel so she’s stayed behind. I just came to visit my mum and thought I’d stop by. “

They heard the room filled with a cheer. Someone whistled so they turned around to see what all the commotion was about.

Simon’s heart stopped.

Kelly walked over to Alisha as she took off her coat.

He had stopped breathing as soon as he heard her voice. He couldn’t take his eyes off her. She had always been beautiful to him. Though seeing her now, he noticed just how beyond gorgeous she truly was. She was hands down the prettiest girl in the world.

Alisha looked completely different from the last time he'd seen her. Back then she seemed shorter and her hair had been longer and straight.

She now had wavy shoulder-length hair. She looked a bit taller and her skin gave off a beautiful radiant glow.

“Alisha!”

“Kelly! Congratulations!”

They hugged each other.

“How are you? I haven’t seen you in weeks!” Kelly said.

Alisha laughed before replying “I know! But I’m great. So where’s Seth?”

“He went out to get some more beer. So did you come with Curtis?”

Alisha nodded.

“Where is he?”

“He’s…”

“Right here!” Curtis exclaimed as he walked through the door.

“Congratz Kel!” he said as he hugged her.

“I’m going to get something to drink, you want anything?”

“No, I’m good.”

Curtis kissed Alisha on the cheek before walking away.

As soon as Simon saw this, his jaw tensed up. Curtis was his friend but his feelings for Alisha had not faded.

“I don’t know how you messed that up Barry.” Nathan said putting his hand on Simon’s shoulder.

Simon shook his hand off and walked away.

“What? What I say?”

He had to get out of there before she saw him.

He got his coat and headed for the door. He was about to walk out when he heard Kelly calling his name.

“Simon, where are you going?”

As soon as Alisha heard his name, she froze. It was as if a million questions were being asked in her mind.

Has he seen me already? Does he know I’m with Curtis? Does he have a girlfriend? Is she here? Does he look the same?

When she turned around, her heart skipped a beat. Simon was not at all how she remembered him. He had bulked up a lot; she could see his immaculate muscles through the shirt he was wearing. His hair was longer but slicked back in an extremely sexy way and instead of being clean shaven, he had a little stubble but it suited him. He looked more mature and a little mysterious.

“I’m heading home. But I’m happy for you and Seth.”

“Alright, but I need to see you more. We should go out for a pint soon.”

Alisha and Simon locked eyes for a moment but to them it felt like an eternity. Curtis interrupted the trance they were in.

“Simon! Where you going mate? Party’s just started!”

Curtis put his arm around Alisha. Simon’s eyes flickered from Curtis’s hand on Alisha’s hip back up to his face.

“Just need to sleep. Tired, ya know?” He faked a yawn and slipped out the door.

When he got into his car, he gripped the steering wheel so tightly that his knuckles turned white. He still had feelings for her but she was with Curtis now. And even if she wasn’t, why would she give him a second chance after what he did?

Prologue

She laughed as she heard the continuous shutter sound of his camera.

“Don’t you ever get tired of taking pictures if the same thing?” She squinted at him though her sunglasses.

He lowered his camera and paused for a moment. “I don’t think anyone would get sick of shooting someone so beautiful…” he replied.

She blushed and lowered her head while returning a small smile.

He took her hand and they sat down on the warm grass looking into the sunset.

“Simon…. Simon… Simon!”

“What? Huh?” He had been staring at her and was snapped out of his trance.

“You were doing your starey thing again.” She laughed at him

He smiled softly. “I’m sorry.”

Their eyes connected.

“I love you, Simon.”

His grin grew from ear to ear as he leaned in to kiss her.

When their lips met, it was as if a jolt of electricity went through both their bodies. She was the rush that he needed… that he yearned for. He was the balance that she had always longed for.

After lingering for a few moments, he broke the kiss but left his hand still cupping her face while his thumb caressed her cheek.

“I love you too, Alisha.”

She brought their lips together once more.

All he could think was “More than you know…”
